We are recruiting for an HLTA to work in a primary school in Southend-on-Sea.-Initially the contract for this position will be for a fixed term of one year, with an aim for this to be permanent.-

The successful applicant will already have achieved the Higher Level Teaching Assistant Certificate, and will:

• Have the highest expectations of achievement and behaviour for all children
• Teach a range of ages and abilities, covering classes in EYFS, KS1 AND KS2.
• Have a good knowledge and understanding of The National Curriculum/ EYFS, next steps and assessment for learning.
• Have experience of effectively managing and supporting whole classes, individuals and small groups of pupils.
• Have experience of working with pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
• Be well organised, with good time management.
• Be adaptable, proactive and a supportive team player.
