Electrical Engineer - A&D

We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join a leading global engineering and technology business based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly skilled electrical engineering team, working on the design and development of innovative abatement products and electrical systems used in advanced manufacturing environments.

The Role

Reporting to a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will support the design, development, and maintenance of electrical modules and sub-assemblies for both new and existing products. Working within cross-functional teams, you will contribute throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring designs meet performance, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain electrical modules and sub-assemblies for new and existing products
• Produce schematics, cable assemblies, bills of materials, and supporting technical documentation
• Support product development activities in line with engineering and change management processes
• Ensure designs meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and project timescales
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project requirements
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and project meetings
• Provide technical electrical support across the wider business when required
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years'' industry experience in electrical design and development
• Experience creating schematics, cable assemblies, BOMs, and component selection
• Proficient with Electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical or similar
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
