Goods In Operative (Forklift)

Location: Enfield
Salary: £27,464 per annum benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Overview:
Our client, a well-established food production and distribution business based in Enfield, seeks a dependable and detail-oriented Goods In Operative (Forklift) to join their warehouse team. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment, looking to join a supportive and stable team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately receive, check, and book in all deliveries 📦
• Ensure goods received match delivery paperwork
• Label received stock with correct “Best Before” dates
• Store pallets in the correct locations, with a focus on stock rotation and use-by dates
• Load and unload vehicles safely 🚚
• Distribute goods to the appropriate areas or personnel
• Use handheld scanners and electronic WMS to process stock
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and passed to the relevant departments
• Assist with general warehouse duties as required

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance and Reach forklift licenses (essential)
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Good communication and basic computer skills
• Ability to follow processes and accurately check deliveries against paperwork
• Experience with handheld scanners is advantageous
• Familiarity with WMS systems (e.g. Orderwise) is a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical warehouse environment
• Able to work well under pressure and use initiative
• Good understanding of Health & Safety practices
• Physically fit – some heavy lifting is required 💪

Working Environment:
This role is based within a warehouse environment and involves both desk-based and physical duties.
