Network Engineer - Night Shift Remote 6-Month ContractLocation: UK Remote (Candidates must be UK based) Duration: 6 Months Shift Pattern: Nights Only - Expected 4 On / 4 Off, 12-Hour Shifts (5:30pm-5:30am) - TBC IR35: Inside IR35 - Umbrella CompanyWe are recruiting experienced Network Engineers to support a major infrastructure patching and vulnerability remediation programme within a large, business-critical environment.This is a hands-on operational role focused on implementing network changes, upgrades and patching during planned overnight maintenance windows.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute network patching, upgrades and vulnerability remediation activities.Implement approved infrastructure changes during overnight maintenance windows.Perform pre- and post-change checks and validation testing.Troubleshoot issues arising from patching and upgrades.Maintain change records and handover documentation.Essential SkillsStrong enterprise networking experience, particularly Cisco routing and switching.Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS-XE, Cisco Nexus and Cisco UCS.Proven experience implementing changes and upgrades in live production environments.Understanding of ITIL change management and rollback procedures.Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.Experience within utilities, energy or critical infrastructure environments would be advantageous, as would Cisco certifications.Important: This is a nights-only contract, expected to follow a 4-on/4-off shift pattern.
