Sales Engineer - Scotland & Ireland
Location: Field-Based (Scotland & Republic of Ireland)
Salary: £45,000 + Uncapped Commission + Company Vehicle

The Opportunity
Winsearch are working in partnership with a leading provider of precision measurement and metrology solutions to recruit a technically capable Sales Engineer to cover Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist business at the forefront of metrology technology, supporting customers across aerospace, automotive, manufacturing and energy sectors. You will play a key role in driving sales growth across a high-value product and software portfolio, supported by a highly experienced technical and commercial team.
The Role
- Develop and grow sales across a defined territory (Scotland & ROI)
- Manage incoming enquiries and convert opportunities into sales
- Deliver on-site product demonstrations to customers
- Promote a full range of metrology equipment and software solutions
- Follow up on exhibition leads and marketing-generated enquiries
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Work closely with internal sales and technical teams to support the sales process
Products include:
- Portable and fixed CMMs (FARO, ROMER, PMT)
- Laser trackers and 3D scanning equipment (FARO Focus, Leica, Scanalogy, 3Devok)
- Metrology and inspection software (PolyWorks, Aberlink, PMT Inspect, PCDmis)
- Reverse engineering software (WRAP, QuickSurface)
What We''re Looking For
- Background in technical sales or engineering (ideally metrology, measurement or industrial technology)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions clearly
- Commercially aware with a proactive, sales-driven mindset
- Ability to manage a territory independently and build long-term customer relationships
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
What''s on Offer
- £45,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission structure:
- 5% on all new sales (including accessories)
- 2.5% on internally generated opportunities
- 5% on exhibition / show leads within territory
- Company vehicle (van provided during probation)
