• Carry out electrical testing and inspection activities in line with relevant standards and procedures.
• Perform routine and fault-finding electrical tests to ensure equipment and installations meet required specifications.
• Produce clear, accurate test documentation and reports, ensuring traceability of results.
• Support commissioning activities by verifying electrical systems are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
• Follow site safety procedures and work to risk assessments and method statements.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment in accordance with internal processes and statutory requirements.
• Identify defects or non-conformities and recommend corrective actions to improve compliance and reliability.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and site teams to deliver testing within agreed timescales.

• Proven experience as an Electrical Test Engineer or in a similar electrical testing/inspection role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical testing principles and safe working practices.
• Competence in using electrical test instruments (for example, insulation resistance testing and continuity testing).
• Working understanding of relevant UK electrical standards and compliance requirements.
• Ability to interpret results and identify issues, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate test records and reports.
• Good communication skills to liaise effectively with site teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant electrical qualification (such as an NVQ or City & Guilds in Electrical/Electrotechnical disciplines).
• Relevant certification for electrical testing and/or inspection (where applicable to the role and responsibilities).
• Commitment to health and safety, including working safely around live and/or potentially hazardous systems.
