Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children with behavioural needs? Do you have experience working with pupils with SEND or challenging behaviour? A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Potters Bar is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.The Role: You will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to support pupils with behavioural challenges on a 1:1 or small group basis. This role is pivotal in helping students engage positively with learning and school life.Key Responsibilities:Supporting students with behavioural and emotional needsImplementing behaviour support strategies under the guidance of the SENCoAssisting in classroom activities and maintaining a safe, positive environmentBuilding trusting relationships with students and staffContributing to individual support plans and feedback reportsIdeal Candidate:Experience supporting children with SEND and/or behavioural difficultiesCalm, empathetic and consistent in approachAble to use initiative and adapt to the needs of the pupilsA team player with strong communication skillsAvailable to start immediatelyStart Date: ASAP Contract: Temporary until July (potential to become permanent in September) Hours: Mornings only preferred (some flexibility possible) Location: Mainstream Primary School, Potters Bar Pay: Competitive, based on experienceWhile the school''s preference is for mornings only, there may be some flexibility in hours for the right
