TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Abergavenny to recruit a Teaching Assistant. This inclusive school is committed to providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated one-to-one support for a child with Autism / ASD and Global Developmental Delay, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside of the classroom.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children with ALN, particularly Autism / ASD and Global Developmental Delay
• Previous experience providing one-to-one support within a primary school setting
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A positive ''can-do'' attitude
• The ability to work effectively as part of the wider school team
