As the organisation modernises, they are progressively moving core systems to Azure and developing a more modular, cloud-based architecture. This role sits at the intersection of that transition: maintaining and improving existing platforms while helping design and implement their cloud-based successors. The role is embedded within the infrastructure function and works closely with application, cloud and delivery teams.
