Bristol – Finance Director / Head of Finance

Location: Bristol (some travel)

Salary: Circa £85,000 £6,500 car allowance Bonus

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Finance Director / Head of Finance with significant experience in industrial engineering or manufacturing. This is a high-impact, senior leadership role, you’ll guide financial strategy, influence operational decisions, and lead a multi-site finance team to deliver excellence across the business.


Key Responsibilities:

• Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with precision and strategic insight
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team
• Oversee monthly accounts, cash flow, tax, audit, and risk management
• Provide senior leadership with actionable financial insight to drive decision-making
• Build strong relationships with auditors, banks, and key external partners
• Continuously improve systems, processes, and controls to streamline operations

• Proven finance leadership in industrial engineering or manufacturing
• Multi-site / multi-location financial management
• ERP/MRP system experience, including ERP change programmes
• Strong people management experience
• Fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or AAT)
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• Tech confidence - Excel, Power BI, ERP systems
