Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a background in generator rental, temporary power or power generation, looking for a senior, hands-on sales role where you can drive new business, develop key accounts and play a major part in the growth of a specialist power division?

Do you have the technical knowledge and commercial experience to identify new markets, develop customer relationships and sell technically complex temporary power solutions?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist power generation business, as a Business Development Manager focused primarily on the continued growth of its Rental division. The role will combine new business development, account management and market development, with the opportunity to influence the sectors and customers the business targets.

You will be responsible for identifying and winning new rental customers, developing existing accounts and managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to profitable order. You will spend significant time meeting customers, undertaking site visits, understanding technical requirements, preparing commercial proposals and negotiating contracts.

A key part of the role will be developing opportunities around Stage V generators, BESS, loadbanks and hybrid power solutions, identifying new applications and markets where these technologies can provide customers with efficient and flexible temporary power.

This is a senior, autonomous position suited to a commercially driven salesperson who wants to do more than manage inbound enquiries and is confident creating opportunities, building relationships and driving profitable revenue.

The Role

• Drive new business development across the power rental market
• Identify and win new rental customers and develop long-term relationships
• Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to order
• Undertake customer meetings, site visits and technical assessments
• Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals and quotations
• Develop opportunities around Stage V generators, BESS, loadbanks and hybrid power
• Grow existing accounts and identify repeat and long-term rental opportunities

• Proven B2B sales and business development experience within generator, power generation, temporary power or generator rental
