This is a hands-on contract role focused on reducing a historical vulnerability backlog, improving data quality, and establishing a trusted baseline using Tenable VM and Service Now Vulnerability Response (VR). ResponsibilitiesWork through vulnerability backlog in Tenable VM and Service Now VRValidate findings, remove false positives, and manage exceptionsEstablish a credible "as-is" vulnerability baselineImprove risk-based reporting (weekly operational, remediation, and monthly BU/executive views)Identify recurring issues, systemic root causes, and high-volume vulnerability clustersSupport remediation planning for high-risk and repeat vulnerabilitiesInvestigate credentialed scan failures (eg SSH/SMB)Support VM platform health improvements with Security Engineering and Service Now teamsRequired ExperienceStrong hands-on vulnerability management experienceProven experience with Tenable VM and Service NowVRExperience handling large vulnerability backlogsRisk-based mindset with strong analytical and reporting skillsComfortable working in fast-paced, imperfect environmentsSuccess CriteriaBacklog reduction with clear downward trendsAccurate, actionable, risk-based reportingVM
