A welcoming and specialist school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. The school supports students with autism and complex needs, providing a caring atmosphere enriched by excellent multidisciplinary support and a strong focus on EHCP-driven outcomes.

Responsibilities

  Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for students with autism and additional needs

  Support the delivery of personalised learning and therapy activities aligned with EHCP targets

  
  



• 
  

  Help develop pupils'' social, communication, and life skills through effective scaffolding

  
  



• 
  

  Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation using supportive strategies

  
  



• 
  

  Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support

  
  



• 
  

  Assist with personal care where appropriate, respecting individual needs

  
  



• 
  

  Maintain accurate records and help monitor student progress in line with school and EHCP guidelines
