Location: Cambridgeshire (commutable from: Peterborough, Huntingdon, St Ives, Chatteris, March, Ely, and surrounding areas)
Are you a proactive Multi-skilled Engineer looking to join a well-established business currently investing heavily across its factory?
We''re seeking a hands-on engineer who thrives in a team environment and takes a proactive approach to maintenance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
The role:
You will be working a 4 on/4 off night shift pattern and will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of production and site facilities. Your role will be to minimise downtime, keep equipment operating efficiently, and support both the engineering and production teams. Key responsibilities include:
Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance in line with safety, quality, and company standards.
Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns, minimising production disruption.
Supporting and guiding production teams with machinery-related issues.
Maintaining planned preventative maintenance schedules and ensuring accurate documentation.
Assisting with site audits, contractor management, and compliance with H&S and hygiene standards.
Taking an active role in improvement initiatives and ongoing site investment projects.
The package:
Salary: -53,000 - -56,000 per year, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate:
Apprentice-trained, multi-skilled engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias.
Relevant engineering qualifications.
Previous experience in a food, FMCG, or manufacturing environment.
A proactive team player with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
Committed to high standards of safety, hygiene, and professionalism.
