Salary: -30,00040,000 DOE

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAD Technician to join a small, two-person design studio. You will be responsible for producing accurate 2D CAD drawings and machine-ready cut files, translating sales concepts into practical designs ready for manufacture. Key responsibilities include:

• Producing 2D CAD drawings and production-ready files using a CorelDRAW-based CAD system.
• Preparing files for CNC routers, laser cutting, press brakes, printers and plotters.
• Checking designs for manufacturability, accuracy and production efficiency.
• Working closely with sales, directors and shopfloor teams to ensure designs meet requirements.
• Identifying potential design or manufacturing issues and resolving queries before production.
• Taking ownership of projects from initial drawings through to manufacture.

About You:

• Minimum of 2 years'' experience in a CAD or drawing office role.
• Strong 2D CAD skills, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment.
• Signage industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Experience with sheet metal, steel fabrication, CNC routing, laser cutting or press brake processes would be beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Confident communicating with different departments and working collaboratively within a small team.
• Proactive, organised and able to take ownership of work from start to finish.

Full training will be provided on the company''s CAD system, so experience with alternative CAD packages will be considered.
