Job Title: Purchase Ledger Assistant Location: Cardiff - Site Based (Monday to Friday) Salary: Up to 30,000 per annumAbout the RoleOn behalf of our client, we are recruiting for a Accounts Payable Assistant to join a fast-paced finance team based in Cardiff.This is a key position within the Group Finance function, responsible for supporting the purchase ledger process and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.The role is site-based in Cardiff, Monday to Friday, and reports directly into the Group Finance Director, offering excellent exposure to senior leadership and group-level finance operations.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficientlyMatching, batching, and coding invoices to appropriate cost centresRunning payment cycles (BACS and manual payments where required)Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepanciesManaging supplier queries professionally and promptlySupporting month-end close processes, including accrualsMaintaining accurate purchase ledger recordsSupporting continuous improvement of AP processes and controlsAbout YouPrevious experience in an Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger roleAble to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood understanding of accounting principlesConfident communicator with strong interpersonal skillsProficient in Excel and finance systems (ERP experience desirable)Highly organised
