Senior Electrical Design Engineers (Water)
for major frameworks across the UK, including a £100 million framework with United Utilities to improve river health in Northwest England.RPS has over 20 years working with United Utilities on innovative water projects. As we approach AMP8, this is an exciting time to work in the water industry, collaborating with passionate organizations to create positive change.Under this 10-year framework, RPS will optimize programs, develop solutions, and select the best options based on value, low carbon, and cost, aiming to deliver exceptional water services and foster a resilient, eco-friendly Northwest.About The Team:
RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy services to water industry clients, supporting business planning and delivery. This evolving industry offers challenges and opportunities requiring innovation, dedication, and teamwork.We also work with several major UK water companies under long-term frameworks. Our water consultancy has prestigious AMP8 programs leading into AMP9 and beyond, offering long-term career growth.About You:
Your responsibilities include technical project delivery, budget monitoring, deadline adherence, and quality assurance, aiming to exceed client expectations. You will make a meaningful impact on communities and work with leading water companies, ensuring a positive influence.Your Responsibilities:
Ensure projects meet technical, legislative, safety, environmental standards.Develop innovative technical solutions based on client needs.Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.Build relationships with clients and partners.Support design and advisory services for water and wastewater assets.Produce and check complex electrical designs, calculations, reports, drawings.Deliver multi-disciplinary projects as a Design Lead using digital techniques.Mentor and develop team members.Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Extensive experience with process plant systems in water projects.Hands-on experience in water/wastewater projects.Proficiency in digital design.Leadership within technical teams.Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field; postgraduate preferred.Chartered or working towards chartership.Membership with IET, InstMC, or CIWEM preferred.What’s in it for you?
