Your new companyYou will be joining an existing team at a large organisation in the Edinburgh area. Due to a new project being signed off, they are looking to add multiple refuse collectors for a contract running throughout the majority of 2026.Your new roleYour duties may include: Collect household and commercial waste from bins, bags, and containers along assigned routes.Load bins safely into the HGV Class 2 vehicle using safe manual handling techniques.Work closely with the driver and other members of the crew, communicating to ensure safe and efficient operations.Maintain cleanliness and safety around collection points, reporting any hazards or issues.Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations, including correct handling of recyclables and contaminated waste. What you''ll need to succeedYou will need to be able to undertake hard manual work as this job will require a high amount of walking and manual handling. It would be advantageous for applicants to have worked in a similar environment before, however not essential to be considered for this position.What you''ll get in returnYou will be offered a start with a large employer on a long-term contract, with the potential for a permanent role to be applied for at any stage.
