Job Title: SENCoLocation: Ipswich area (more details released upon application)Contract: Full-time, term time onlySalary: £42,000Benefits: Company Pension, Life Assurance, Employee Discount SchemeOur client is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a vibrant, specialist education setting supporting students aged 5 to 18 with complex needs. Key Responsibilities As SENCO, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering high-quality SEND provision. Your duties will include:Leading the strategic development of SEND policy and provisionDesigning and implementing targeted interventions to support pupil progressMonitoring and evaluating outcomes in line with EHCPsConducting annual reviews and supporting safeguarding as a Deputy DSLWorking closely with staff, families, and external professionalsCoordinating day-to-day SEND operations and maintaining accurate recordsAdvising colleagues on effective teaching and behaviour strategiesLeading intervention groups and assessing their impactSupporting pupil transitions into and beyond the settingUndertaking a 50% teaching commitment (secondary experience preferred, ideally Science) Requirements The successful candidate will have:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)National Award for SEN Coordination, or willingness to complete the NPQ for SENCOsExperience in school self-evaluation and development planningBackground in working within autism and/or SEMH settingsExperience delivering training and leading INSET sessionsStrong knowled
