Senior Process Development Scientist

Location: Oxford | Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hrs/week)

We are seeking a Senior Process Development Scientist to lead the development of an optimised manufacturing process for a proprietary vaccine delivery platform for leading biotech company. This role involves performing laboratory experiments, generating reports, and supporting technology transfer activities. The successful candidate will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. This position reports to the Head of Process Development and plays a crucial role in their efforts to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct lab-based process development and batch manufacturing.
• Analyse and report scientific data; generate protocols and technical documentation.
• Support technology transfer and work at third-party sites when needed.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain compliance with quality systems and safety standards.
• Stay current with scientific literature and share findings proactively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor''s degree in a relevant science or engineering field.
• Strong background in tablet pressing, pill formulation, and powder blending.
• Minimum 2-3 years'' lab experience in R&D or pharmaceutical industrial manufacturing.
• GMP knowledge and tech transfer experience highly desirable.
