We are working exclusively with a business close to Reading West train station looking for an Accounts Assistant for the next month.This role is crucial for managing an increased workload due to manual processing requirements in their accounting function. The candidate will have a positive, happy attitude and be ready to start on Monday, 8th June.Day-to-day of the role:Check invoices against purchase orders and ensure all details are accurate.Raise purchase orders and sales invoices using templates.Manually process delivery notes and invoices into the accounting software, Xero.Double-check that invoicing has been posted correctly and VAT calculations are accuratePerform general financial administration tasks.Required Skills and Qualifications:Experience with manual data entry and processing in accounting systemsAbility to work efficiently under pressure due to the increased volume of work.Strong attention to detail for checking invoices, VAT, and other financial documents.Positive and proactive attitude, able to adapt to a dynamic work environmentDetails:30 hours per week - 9am to 3pmCasual dress code.Free parking available on-site.Please apply ASAP if you are keen on being put forward to the role.
