Infrastructure Platform Engineer - DV ClearedLocation: TauntonRate: £550-£630 per dayContract: Initial 7-month contract (potential for extension)Clearance: Active DV Clearance RequiredInside IR35We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Platform Engineer to support the ongoing operation, maintenance and development of a secure private cloud platform within a highly sensitive environment.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong infrastructure, virtualisation and security experience to take ownership of day-to-day platform operations, improve service performance and support the onboarding of new customers.The successful candidate will be proactive, technically capable and confident making engineering decisions with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor platform performance, investigate incidents and identify opportunities to prevent recurring issues.Maintain and improve platform reliability, availability and resilience.Manage infrastructure patching, security hardening and vulnerability remediation.Implement and maintain access controls, identity management and security configurations.Support infrastructure automation and configuration management using version control.Develop and maintain operational dashboards, alerts and service health reporting.Support customer onboarding and ongoing platform development.Contribute to service improvement and operational recovery processes.Essential Skills and ExperienceStrong networking knowledge, ..... full job details .....
