The OpportunityA growing business in the Frome area is seeking an experienced Interim Purchase Ledger Clerk to provide short-term support within its finance team. This is a hands-on assignment focused on improving ledger accuracy, resolving outstanding supplier issues and supporting the efficient management of the purchase ledger function.The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable working through a backlog while maintaining strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and monitoring a busy purchase ledger inboxAllocating incoming emails and queries to the appropriate internal contactsReconciling supplier statements and ensuring accounts are up to dateInvestigating and resolving invoice, payment and account discrepanciesIdentifying and clearing aged items across the purchase ledgerTidying and maintaining supplier accounts to improve ledger accuracyLiaising with suppliers and colleagues to resolve outstanding queriesSupporting the wider finance team with transactional finance duties as requiredEnsuring accurate record keeping and adherence to finance processesSkills and Experience RequiredPrevious experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable roleStrong supplier reconciliation experienceProven ability to investigate and resolve discrepanciesExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsConfident communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levelsGood ..... full job details .....
