We are seeking Multi-skilled Production Operatives for a busy metal processing plant in Tamworth. This would be an excellent opportunity to join a leading recycling business with a presence in four continents. As such, they are keen to make a long-term investment into new staff members who are looking to secure a career in the metallics industry.

Main responsibilities for our FLT role include:

 

- Strip parts down with use of hand tools

- Sorting parts into separate categories by hand

- Use of Forklift truck to move the granulated products around the shop floor

- Working in a sampler station to help identify the concentration of precious metals in each component (e.g. platinum/radium)

- Picking using a computerised inventory system.

- General Dispatch paperwork

Although you will likely be assigned a core area, it would be the company''s vision to offer cross-training in multiple areas to maximise your knowledge. 

Workwear will be provided, it may be worth noting that you will be required to wear a full protective mask and visor to help provide proper ventilation.

For all applicants we are seeking the following core skills:

- Trustworthy and hard-working attitude

- Encouraged to learn new skills

- Somebody with proven experience in a manufacturing/ engineering/ process plant environment/ operating a forklift truck

- Comfortable with working in an environment that can be dusty

- Able to use basic machinery and hand tools

- Requirement of an in-date Counterbalance license

Hours of work: 0700 – 1600, 0600-1400 or 1400 - 2200

 Monday to Friday

Rate of pay: £14.42 - £15.60
