Experienced ALN Teaching AssistantLocation: Cardiff Sector: Primary Education Start Date: February 2026We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive primary school community in Cardiff.The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the ALNCo, and external professionals to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities:Provide targeted support for pupils with ALN, including 1:1 and small group interventionsSupport pupils with a range of needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language, SEMH)Assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activitiesPromote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and inclusionMonitor progress and contribute to ALN documentation and reviewsWork collaboratively with staff, parents/carers, and external agenciesThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Proven experience working as an ALN/Additional Needs Teaching Assistant in a primary schoolA strong understanding of the ALN Code for WalesExperience supporting pupils with complex or diverse needsA calm, patient, and nurturing approachExcellent communication and teamwork skills
