The Role

The successful candidate will join an established and collaborative Science department, delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum.
• Develop students'' scientific knowledge, understanding and practical investigation skills.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage learners and accommodate different abilities and learning styles.
• Monitor, assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continued improvement.
• Identify students who may require additional support or challenge and adapt teaching accordingly.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school to enhance curriculum delivery.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher who can demonstrate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• The ability to inspire students and develop their enthusiasm for scientific learning.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confidence adapting lessons to support students of varying abilities.
• A good understanding of assessment strategies and the ability to use data effectively to monitor and improve student progress.
• A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
• A positive, collaborative approach and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
