Location: Laystall Street, Manchester, M1

Salary: £14.00 per hour
Contract: Full time, permanent
Working pattern: Rolling two week rota

To be considered, you must:
- Have at least six months’ previous experience in a care or support setting.
- Be available to work full time on the service’s rolling rota.
- Be able to reliably travel to Laystall Street, Manchester, M1, for your shifts.
- Communicate clearly and maintain accurate written support records.
- Already have the right to work in the UK for the full contracted hours without employer sponsorship.

Transforming Support is looking for experienced Support Workers to join TS Liverpool’s service at Laystall Street in Manchester.
You will provide person centred support that helps people build confidence, develop everyday living skills and have greater choice and control over their lives.
From supporting daily routines to helping someone enjoy activities in their community, your patience, reliability and encouragement can make a lasting difference.
These are full time, permanent positions, open to both men and women who meet the essential requirements.

What you’ll be doing
- Supporting everyday living skills and household responsibilities while encouraging independence.
- Helping people make choices about their routines, activities and personal goals.
- Supporting access to the community, appointments and social activities.
- Providing support with health needs and medication in line with agreed procedures and training.
- Following individual support plans and contributing to reviews and positive risk management.
- Maintaining accurate records and working with colleagues, families and other professionals to provide consistent support.
Each person’s needs, preferences and goals will guide your work. You will respect their dignity, rights and choices while helping them do as much as possible for themselves.
About you
You will be compassionate, patient and dependable, with a calm and respectful approach when needs or circumstances change.
You must understand the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality, follow agreed support plans and work positively both independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in supported living, learning disabilities or complex needs would be particularly useful.
