About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school in Newham. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students across a range of subjects and abilities, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Work with individuals and small groups of students to reinforce learning
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
• Provide targeted support for students with additional needs (including SEND)
• Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support students'' emotional wellbeing and encourage positive attitudes to learning
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities where appropriate

About You

• A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Previous experience in a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential
