A leading multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy is looking to recruit an Ecologist to join its growing team in Brighton. Established for over 25 years, the consultancy works across ecology, landscape, heritage and masterplanning, supporting a wide range of development, infrastructure and environmental projects across the UK.

As an Ecologist, you will join a highly experienced and supportive team, working on projects for housebuilders, land promoters, utility companies, conservation organisations and public bodies. The role will involve ecological surveys, report writing, Biodiversity Net Gain assessments, protected species work, habitat assessments and supporting mitigation strategies.

The successful Ecologist will have the opportunity to work alongside specialists from a range of environmental disciplines, gaining exposure to varied and technically interesting projects.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as an Ecologist within a consultancy environment
• Experience carrying out ecological and protected species surveys
• Knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain and ecological assessment
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
• Full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
• Must live in or near the Brighton office
• Enthusiastic, motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
