Autism (ASD) specialist Teaching Assistant Rotherham, S63 £110 per day Start date: ASAP Contract type: Temp - perm following 12 weeks successful temporary placement Working hours: Monday Friday, term time only Unique School Solutions are working with a specialist school in Rotherham who are needing Autism (ASD) specialist Teaching Assistants to work in both their primary and secondary units, supporting students with Autism (ASD) and/or Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). The role is to start ASAP and for the right person could lead to a permanent job after 12 weeks. About the school: UK leading specialist school Supports students aged 5-19 "Good" school in all areas - Ofsted 2023 Supportive and well organised leadership team Essential requirements for the role: Previous experience working with children or adults with ASD and/or PDA. This needs to be within the last 2 years, and within a school/residential/social care setting. A good level of physical fitness. This is a demanding role. Patience, empathy and calmness. The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative.
