Creativity and imagination : Ability to engage children in imaginative play, such as pretending to be a pirate captain.

Excellent memory : Remembering children''s names, their pets, toys, and details about their day.

Processing skills : Quickly and accurately counting children and managing activities.

First aid knowledge : Knowing how to address minor ailments (note: "magic recipe" should be clarified to first aid skills).

Learning children''s songs : Ability to learn and sing children''s favourite songs.

Playfulness : Willingness to engage in playful activities, like eating mud pies with worms.

Sense of humour : Able to laugh at jokes, even if not understood.

And finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special, and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like this one!

A full and relevant Level 3 or above qualification as defined by the Department of Education on the Early Years Qualifications List.

DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector.

Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements.

Experience in the sector.
