Quality Engineer Coatings and Chemicals (Aerospace) Location: West London Salary: £40,000 £50,000 Sector: Aerospace Manufacturing Employment Type: Temp to Perm / PermOverview A well-established aerospace manufacturer is looking to appoint a Quality Engineer with a strong focus on coatings, materials, and chemical processes.This is a hands-on Quality Engineer role focused on driving improvements across coatings, materials, and chemical processes within a complex aerospace environment.You ll take ownership of quality performance across a varied product range, working closely with production and engineering to reduce defects, improve process capability, and strengthen compliance across special processes and surface treatments.The role is well suited to either an established Quality Engineer or someone stepping up from a senior inspection background who wants to move into a more process-driven, improvement-focused position.Key Responsibilities Lead continuous improvement activities across manufacturing and quality processesOwn root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Manage non-conformances (NCRs) and customer quality issues end-to-endImprove processes linked to coatings, surface treatments, and chemical processingWork closely with production and engineering to improve process capability and yieldSupport and develop supplier quality, particularly across special processes and coatingsEnsure compliance with AS9100 and support audit activityContribute to FAI
