About the Opportunity

Rock Recruitment is working with a well-established client to recruit skilled, self-employed domestic electricians to join their network of contract engineers. Their customers rely on them for safe, high-quality electrical work exactly when they need it, and you''ll play a key part in delivering fast fixes and high standards of electrical safety in customers'' homes.

The Role

As a contract Electrician, you''ll carry out a varied mix of domestic work, including:

• Fault finding and repairs
• Installations and upgrades, such as replacing kitchen sockets
• Electrical connections to gas appliances and points
• Full and partial rewires
• Emergency 24- or 48-hour callouts
• Scheduled works
• EICR testing and EV charger installation, where relevant to the job

You''ll combine strong technical skills with excellent customer service, diagnosing issues efficiently, aiming for first-time fixes, and giving customers clear, professional advice. All work must be safe, compliant and right first time.

• Appropriate insurance cover (e.g. public liability)

About You

• Minimum 2 years'' experience as a qualified electrician, ideally in domestic settings
• City & Guilds 2365 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent), including the Level 3 Technical Certificate and NET AM2
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent)
• BS 7671 Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds 2382, 18th Edition)
• City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) for inspection and testing: highly desirable
• Specialist EV charger certification: desirable
• Flexibility to cover emergency callouts and scheduled work
