We are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to support the delivery of major civil engineering works on the Net Zero Teesside project-one of the UK''s most significant low-carbon infrastructure schemes. You will play a key technical role, ensuring that construction activities are executed safely, accurately and in accordance with design, specifications, and programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Review and check all technical information, including drawings and specifications, identifying ambiguities or inconsistencies and raising Technical Queries for resolution.
Carry out material take-offs from drawings to support procurement and planning.
Ensure Site Engineers fully understand the construction methodologies required for the delivery of civil engineering works.
Lead the development and implementation of HSEQ controls for your section of work, ensuring full compliance with project standards.
Manage the detailed look-ahead programme for civil engineering activities, coordinating with planning and delivery teams to maintain progress.
Delegate dimensional control activities to Site Engineers and ensure that both Temporary Works and Permanent Works are accurately and consistently set out.
Support a culture of technical excellence, safety, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

Ideal Candidate
Strong technical background in civil engineering, reinforced concrete, or major infrastructure projects.
Proven experience in reviewing technical documentation, identifying design issues, and managing technical queries.
Demonstrated ability to lead and support Site Engineers.
Good understanding of HSEQ standards and ability to embed controls into day-to-day site activities.
Experience working with look-ahead programmes and coordinating technical delivery.
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
