A large food manufacturer are seeking an experienced mechanical bias Maintenance Engineer, you''ll have experience conducting routine and reactive maintenance on fast paced machinery. You will also be confident in welding and fabrication to produce parts. Working a rotating day and nights panama shift pattern 12 hour shifts. Salary £40,000 to £47,000 plus Benefits. What You Will Do:- Carry out scheduled maintenance and implement effective corrective actions to ensure machinery operates at peak performance.- Respond swiftly to mechanical, electrical, andl breakdowns, identifying root causes and proposing improvements to prevent recurrence.- Communicate breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager and collaborate with operations to minimise disruptions.- Promote good engineering practices and maintain a safe, healthy, and hygienic working environment.- Mentor and support Level 1 to 3 Maintenance Engineers and Apprentices, fostering growth and development within the team. What You Will Bring:- Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering or equivalent qualifications such as HNC, HND, or a Bachelor''s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.- Strong mechanical engineering background, with ability to conduct fabrication and welding tasks.- Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing systems, with mechanical fitting skills.- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
