Finance Assistant

Based in Doncaster, the Finance Assistant plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our accounts function. You will be assisting with the preparation of month-end management accounts, producing financial accounts up to trial balance stage, including accruals and prepayments and conducting month-end balance sheet reconciliations and preparing financial reports. The finance team is small and busy, you will be relying heavily on your attention to detail and focus, but you will be supported and encouraged to expand your studies and experiences, supporting weekly cash flow forecasting and assisting in the preparation of budgets and year-end audit documentation.

To apply for the Finance Assistant position, you will need previous experience working within an accountancy or finance function and good knowledge of current accounting standards and experience in producing management accounts. Of course you will have good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel and will be studying towards or holding a professional accounting qualification (AAT / CIMA / ACCA / ACA).

As well as a salary of up to £32k, the position of Finance Assistant includes:

Hours: 40 hrs per week 8.30am-5pm Mon–Fri (potentially could be reduced to 4 days)

Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays (P/R)

Pension: The Company will make contributions of 7% of earnings into the scheme. In addition, for every 1% the employee contributes the Company will contribute a further 0.5% up to a maximum Company contribution of 10%
