If you''re a teacher who believes education should prepare young people for life, not just exams, this could be the role for you. You''ll support young people aged 16-25 with EHCPs (including learners with autism, ADHD or a learning disability) to build the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to progress into paid employment. Every day is different, combining classroom learning with practical employability and independent living skills that genuinely change lives. This isn''t a traditional teaching role. You''ll have the freedom to be creative, adapt your teaching to each learner and work alongside Job Coaches and a supportive team who are passionate about helping young people succeed. What you''ll be doingDeliver Functional Skills English and Maths up to Level 2.Plan engaging, practical lessons that prepare learners for work and independent living.Build learners'' confidence, communication, and employability skills.Work alongside Job Coaches and employers to help learners achieve paid employment.Enjoy a dedicated planning day each week. You''ll need a recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 or above. You might already be an experienced mainstream teacher looking to make a bigger difference by supporting young people with EHCPs. Equally, you could be a Level 3 qualified tutor ready to take the next step in your career. If so, you''ll be supported to achieve your Level 5 teaching qualification.
