Proactive Global is currently is looking for a Metal Finisher/ Fettler to join one of our well established customers based in Sunbury on Thames.Pay rate: 14- 16 per hour depending on experience.Job specific duties Working with stainless steel commonly up to 3mmTo ensure that the visible surface areas of metalwork are finished to the required standardPrepare welded products before finishing (tidying welds, deburring, etc)Finish welded products as per the customer requirement for that order. Such finishes to include:Vapour Blast (glass media)NROBGrainedAbility to work from engineering and manufacturing drawings on your ownTo record changes required to drawings to enable production information to be corrected and maintained accuratelyAble to use safely associated machines and tools eg (guillotines, rollers, stud gun, grinders, power files, drills.) A high standard of workmanship to be maintained at all times The company''s quality policies and requirements are to be maintained at all times Ensure safe working practices at all times Responsible for good housekeeping in your own work area in line with Lean and 5S requirementsTo promote a culture of continuous improvement among the workforce and implement such changes to reduce cost and assembly time whilst improving quality or ease of build.SkillsSupport team to ensure flexibility of skills in team for example cross-skilling as required.Cost and Efficiency: Identify and take actions when targets are not being met and waste is evid
