NonStop Care is working with a national, non-profit fostering organisation to recruit a Fostering Recruitment Officer / Family Support Worker. This is a unique opportunity combining community engagement, recruitment, and hands-on support to foster families and young people.
We are seeking someone located in Southampton/Eastleigh/Portsmouth/Fareham and immediate surrounding area. Travel required across the South Coast, focusing primarily on Hampshire and Dorset, including Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) and surroundings.
About the role - Family support worker / Fostering recruitment officer
This is a varied, people-focused position where you will work closely with both prospective and existing foster carers, while also supporting children and young people.
You will play a key role in attracting and assessing new carers, as well as providing ongoing practical and emotional support. The role involves attending community events, building relationships, and contributing to positive outcomes within fostering.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage and support prospective foster carers through the recruitment process
- Attend and help run community and recruitment events
- Provide practical and emotional support to foster families
- Work directly with children and young people where required
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Promote fostering within the local community
