WTW is seeking a dynamic and experienced insurance professional to join our Cargo team in London as an Associate Director. This is a high-impact role handling a diverse portfolio of direct, wholesale, and reinsurance cargo business—primarily from North America. Lead the servicing and broking of complex cargo accounts as a senior member of the Cargo teamHelp to expand the client base and deepen market relationshipsManage and grow relationships with large, complex cargo clientsUnderstand client businesses, risks, and opportunities to deliver tailored insurance solutionsPrepare bespoke MRC policy documentation with precision and clarityDesign and execute effective placing strategies across London and international marketsBuild and maintain strong relationships with underwriters globallyBroker client risks into appropriate markets with confidence and expertiseSupport new business generation and contribute to sales strategyEnsure compliance with WTW and FCA guidelinesMentor and support the development of junior colleaguesCollaborate effectively across WTW teams and systemsChampion exceptional client service, driving upselling and cross-selling opportunitiesThe Requirements

ACII qualified (or equivalent industry experience preferred)Proven success in insurance broking or underwritingDeep technical knowledge of cargo insurance and risk managementStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsExperience managing complex cargo accountsWillingness to travel internationally as neededAbility to absorb and apply information quicklySkilled at working independently and collaborativelyExcellent time management and prioritisation under pressureCapable of simplifying complex concepts for clients and colleaguesAdaptable communication style to suit diverse stakeholdersCommitted to integrity, transparency, and regulatory complianceProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelAt WTW, we believe difference makes us stronger.
