Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Surrey

Salary: -35,000 - -50,000 (dependent on experience) + Travel Expenses

A well-established contractor with a strong reputation in the fit-out and refurbishment sector is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career across a varied portfolio of projects.

The Role
You will support the commercial delivery of multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically ranging in value from -500k to -10m, across Surrey and the surrounding region. The role will involve both site-based responsibilities and wider regional project exposure.

Working alongside experienced commercial professionals, you will gain valuable hands-on experience across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with cost management from project inception through to final account
• Supporting procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
• Preparing valuations, variations, and cost reports
• Monitoring project budgets and financial performance
• Assisting with contract administration and compliance
• Developing strong working relationships with site teams and subcontractors

About You

• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or working towards one)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• A proactive and organised approach to work
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
