Estimator - Heathrow Long-Term Contract 400 to 600 Day Rate About the Role We''re looking for an Estimator to join an internationally recognised civil engineering and construction contractor, known for delivering major transportation infrastructure including tunnels, roads, highways and high-speed rail. You''ll prepare and manage accurate estimates for major infrastructure projects, supporting business objectives and building strong relationships with the supply chain. You''ll take ownership of cost estimates from tender review through to handover, working closely with tender planners, subcontractors and project teams to produce high-quality, competitive submissions on time.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, manage and supervise cost estimates in support of project and business objectivesReview tender documents and drawingsProduce detailed cost risk analysis and work breakdown analysis, and maintain risks and opportunities registersProcure quotes for materials and subcontract packages, and prepare quotation comparisonsEstimate prime costs using estimating software (Candy preferred)Agree methodology and sequencing with the tender plannerPrepare tender settlement reports and submission documents, and contribute to mid- and post-tender meetingsHand over secured tenders to the project teamKeep rates and supplier databases up to dateKey RequirementsPrevious estimating experience on large-scale projects, particularly roads, tunnels, motorways and structuresProficient in Candy estimating ..... full job details .....
