A warm and inclusive primary school in Sloughandnbsp;is currently seeking compassionate, proactive individuals to join their team as SEN Teaching Assistants. This is a fantastic chance to transfer your care experience into a school environmentandmdash;supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a genuine difference in their everyday lives.
About the Role:
- Delivering one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a variety of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, and social/emotional difficulties
- Assisting in classroom activities and differentiating learning materials to suit individual pupil needs
- Supporting children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure full access to the curriculum
- Encouraging emotional wellbeing, independence, and the development of positive behaviour
- Providing personal care when necessary, always upholding dignity, privacy, and respect
- Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to provide consistent, holistic support
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess experience supporting individuals with additional needs in care, residential, or clinical environments
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
- Seeking to transition into the education sector and gain hands-on experience within a school setting
- Eager to learn and committed to professional growth through training and mentorship
- Confident in providing both personal care and emotional support as required
