The role needs a technically strong accountant who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys being involved in a wide variety of finance activity.Key ResponsibilitiesYear-End and AuditLead the preparation of year-end accountsAct as the main point of contact for external auditorsManage audit requests, schedules, and supporting documentationEnsure compliance with charity accounting standards (SORP)Financial Accounting and ControlsMaintain and strengthen financial controlsSupport balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrityOversee fixed asset registers and depreciation schedulesManage restricted/unrestricted fund accountingManagement Accounts and Month-EndAssist with month-end processes including journals, accruals, and prepaymentsSupport the production of monthly management accountsProvide analysis and insight to support senior decision-makingOther ResponsibilitiesSupport budgeting and forecasting cyclesAssist with process improvements as the charity continues to growProvide financial guidance to non-finance colleaguesEssentialQualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)Strong experience with year-end processes and external audit coordinationSolid understanding of controls, reconciliations, and financial accountingExperience preparing or supporting management accountsAbility to work independently and
