Mechanical Fitter / Engineer
Mechanical Fitter Water / Water Treatment Industry GRS are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client, working primarily across the water and water treatment sector. This role is focused on reactive maintenance and mechanical installations, with additional involvement in fault-finding, refurbishment, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all mechanical systems and equipment across various sites. The Role: Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations across water treatment and utility sites. Work on pumps, valves, pipework, gearboxes, bearings, motors, and rotating equipment. Conduct strip-downs, overhauls, and rebuilds of mechanical components. Assist with alignment, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems. Participate in a 1 in 3 weekend on-call rota: Flat on-call allowance. If called out: 4 hours minimum at time and a half. 40-hour standard working week. Overtime Rates: Time and a half (Mon Sat midday). Double time (Sat midday onwards and Sundays). Door-to-door travel paid. What s on Offer: Company van and fuel card. 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
