Well-known utilities provider require a Procurement Manager. Applicants need a background in public sector procurement, and/or experience in; construction, engineering, maintenance, FM or indirect procurement. The Procurement Manager role encompasses a mix of hands-on tendering (cradle-to-grave) and sourcing activities, with the development and implementation of category management strategies. Working closely with a Senior Category Manager, the Procurement Manager will lead procurement activity in regards to construction and maintenance of capital assets, delivering excellent service to customers and stakeholders. Specific duties of the Procurement Manager include:Develop and implement demand and category strategies aligned with value management and procurement policies.Running cradle-to-grave tender exercises from scoping with stakeholders, RFI, RFQ to awardCollaborate with Senior Category Manager and business leads to deliver sourcing and contracting strategies.Drive cost reduction through demand aggregation, standardisation, and minimising tail spend.Lead continuous improvement by applying external best practices and innovation to category strategiesSupport full sourcing lifecycle and commercial activities to optimise total cost of ownership.
