Main purpose of the role: The Garage door Engineer must have a good understanding of all types of garage doors. The position consists of repairing and installing all five different types of garage doors. (Canopy, Retractable, Side Hung, roller door and sectional garage doors). Scope of the role: Installation: (Canopy, Retractable, Side hinged, Roller and sectional garage doors Manual and Automated) Maintenance: Routine servicing of garage Repairs: Broken springs or cables, misaligned tracks Primary Objectives: Installing a minimum of 2 garage doors per day in alliance with the manufacturer''s instructions. All work to be signed off by the customer on completion. Demonstration / handover required after each job. Repairing new and existing garage doors. Competence in using sealant / mastic and other materials such as timber and UPVC. Work carried out efficiently and to a high level reducing remedials / call backs All remedials / call-backs due to negligence will be carried out in the engineers own time.
