Our vision at Pancreatic Cancer UK is that everyone diagnosed with pancreatic cancer will live long and well. However, currently this is not the case for the vast majority of people diagnosed in the UK. For too long, pancreatic cancer has been overlooked, underfunded, and left behind; it receives just 3% of the total UK cancer research budget. As a result, it''s still too difficult to diagnose and treat and, sadly, more than half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Since 2006, we have worked tirelessly to change this. And we''ve seen great progress in recent years. Our challenge is to make sure this progress not only persists but accelerates. We need the world to give this disease the attention - and, above all, the action - it demands. Because people with pancreatic cancer deserve more. We are looking for an outstanding new Director of Income Generation and Engagement to lead our largest, integrated directorate, encompassing fundraising, engagement, marketing, and communications and help us step up to the next level of engaging new audiences and diversifying our income portfolio.
