Our client is seeking a Building Control Officer to support the delivery of a professional building control service. The role will involve site inspections, plan vetting and approval, and the supervision of building work in accordance with Building Regulations and associated legislation.Key Responsibilities:Carrying out site inspections throughout the stages of building workVetting and approving plans in line with Building Regulations and allied legislationSupervising building work to ensure compliance with approved plans and statutory requirementsProviding professional building control advice to customers, contractors and other stakeholdersMaintaining accurate inspection records, reports and regulatory documentationSupporting the delivery of an efficient, consistent and high-quality Building Control serviceRepresenting the service professionally and contributing to excellent customer outcomesJob Requirements:Registration as a Building Inspector at Class 2A or Class 2A/2C levelStrong knowledge of Building Regulations and allied building legislationExperience in building control, plan assessment and site inspectionUnderstanding of construction methods, compliance requirements and building standardsExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong attention to detail with the ability to assess technical information effectivelyAbility to work independently while managing inspections and regulatory tasks remotelyContract Details:Rolling three-month contract37 hours per ..... full job details .....
