Salary: -29,000 per annum + Sleep-In Enhancements + Overtime
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (shift work including evenings, weekends & sleep-ins)

We are seeking a Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team in a six-bed Children''s Home based in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in children''s residential care within a supportive and trauma-informed environment.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will:

• Provide daily care and support - including personal care, meal preparation, administering medication, and maintaining routines

• Build meaningful relationships with young people through consistent emotional support and positive behaviour management

• Encourage learning and development by supporting school attendance, helping with homework, and engaging in social, leisure, and life-skill activities

• Safeguard and protect - ensuring the safety of all young people and reporting any concerns in line with safeguarding policies

• Work collaboratively with Social Workers, Therapists, Youth Offending Teams, and internal colleagues to deliver holistic, person-centred care

• Empathetic & Compassionate - with a genuine desire to support children who may have experienced trauma or adversity

• Excellent Communicator - able to build trust and communicate clearly with young people and professionals

• Resilient & Calm Under Pressure - able to manage challenging situations with a positive and patient approach

• Team-Oriented - values collaboration and shared success

• Reflective & Proactive - can assess situations quickly and act in the best interests of the young person

Essential:

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)

• Willingness to work on a rota (including evenings, weekends & sleep-ins)

• Commitment to complete the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already achieved)

• -29,000 salary (based on 37.5 hours per week)

• Sleep-in shift enhancements (paid in addition to base salary)
